About Us

Progress Smart Solutions is a leading electrical panel builder specializing in power distribution panels, renewable energy systems, and industrial electrical solutions.

From the date of its establishment in 1962 by Mr. Georges Saikali, PROGRESS ENGINEERING & TRADING ENTERPRISES is specialized in the trading of the electrical industrial devices and the manufacturing of all kinds of Electrical Distribution Boards and Control Panel-boards.

In 1963 "PROGRESS" became the exclusive agent and representative of the famous German Company KLOCKNER-MOELLER, as well as many other leaders in the field of industrial electricity.

In 1970 "PROGRESS" was awarded a very important contract for the U.A.E. for the supply of hundred substations Distributions Boards and Feeder Pillars. This was a turning point for the Company, as it had to equip its factory with the up-to-date machinery, the High Voltage testing facilities (up to 5000 Volts 50HZ) and the Load testing facilities (up to 3000A), as all panel-boards had to be "Factory Tested" and "Released" by the Lloyd Register of Shipping, who delegated a resident engineer for all the duration of the project.

Starting in 1992 "PROGRESS" has developed and strengthened its Industrial Electronic Controls division. Its Engineering Division has designed, programmed and executed several projects involving PLCs, Touch-Panels & SCADA SYSTEMs to the great satisfaction of its clients, and is now using the latest technology of SCADA platform with ERP integration.

As of 2001, "PROGRESS", strongly entered the building and home automation field by distributing European wiring devices and Moeller RF automation systems, EIB systems, Access Control, Lighting systems using LED & Induction technology, Video -phone Systems, AVR and UPS systems.

In 2007, PROGRESS BUILDING MATERIALS QATAR W.l.l was established in Qatar and has been successfully active in the field of Architectural and Decorative luxury lighting as well as smart control lighting systems for Hotels, Palaces and Tower projects.

In 2015 "PROGRESS" has launched a department dedicated to Architectural and Decorative luxury lighting fixtures as well as wiring devices, smart control lighting systems, CCTV and access control systems.

In 2021 "PROGRESS" has entered the market of ESS solutions using Lithium batteries & Hybrid Inverters from the Italian leading company WECO S.r.l.

In 2023, PROGRESS ENGINEERING & TRADING ENTERPRISES Incorporation. Moving forward, we are expanding comprehensive solutions. As part of this transition, we will operate under our new name: PROGRESS SMART SOLUTIONS SAL
